WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
The Cherished Method™ Holistic Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training prepares participants to confidently support pregnant people through movement, breath, education, and compassionate presence.
Through a combination of immersive learning, embodied practice, mentorship, observation, and practicum experience, participants will develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to teach prenatal yoga in a way that is safe, inclusive, and responsive to the unique needs of pregnancy.
Foundations of Pregnancy & Birth
Gain a deeper understanding of pregnancy and birth through both medical and holistic lenses.
Topics include:
- Anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, explored trimester by trimester
- Common pregnancy discomforts and conditions, with practical teaching considerations
- The stages of labor and birth
- The mind-body connection throughout pregnancy and the childbearing journey
Prenatal Yoga Methodology
Learn how to safely and confidently adapt yoga practices for pregnant students. Topics include:
- Prenatal asana, modifications, variations, and contraindications
- Pregnancy- and birth-supportive pranayama and breath techniques
- Mantra, meditation, visualization, and sound practices for pregnancy and birth
- A foundational prenatal yoga sequence appropriate for all trimesters
- How to create trimester-responsive and student-centered class sequences
Holding Space & Teaching Skills
Develop the skills necessary to lead prenatal yoga classes with confidence, integrity, and compassion. Topics include:

Following the immersive training experience, participants enter a guided integration phase designed to bridge learning and real-world teaching. Through observation, reflection, mentorship, and hands-on experience, trainees have the opportunity to refine their skills and develop confidence as prenatal yoga instructors. Topics and experiences include:
- Observation of prenatal yoga classes through the Cherished Life Online Yoga & Wellness Platform
- Feedback and mentorship from experienced prenatal yoga educators
- Developing your unique teaching voice and facilitation style
- Sequencing and preparing for real-world prenatal yoga classes
- Building confidence in classroom management and student support
- Teaching community prenatal yoga classes as part of a supervised practicum experience
- Translating training concepts into practical application
- Cultivating professional readiness as a prenatal yoga teacher and maternal wellness practitioner
This extended learning pathway is designed to support meaningful integration, allowing participants to move beyond theory and into confident, embodied teaching.

WHO IS THIS PATHWAY FOR?
The Cherished Method™ Holistic Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training is designed for yoga teachers, doulas, childbirth educators, birth workers, healthcare professionals, and individuals who feel called to support the childbearing journey through movement, breath, education, and compassionate presence.
This training is especially valuable for those seeking more than a certification. It is for practitioners who desire mentorship, hands-on experience, and the confidence to guide pregnant people with skill, integrity, and care.
Rooted in holistic wellness, reproductive justice, and culturally responsive teaching, this intimate training centers connection, community, and embodied learning. Participants will be invited into a process of self-reflection, practice, observation, and teaching that extends beyond training weekend and into real-world application.
Whether you are expanding an existing professional practice or beginning a new chapter in maternal wellness, this pathway is designed to support your growth as both a teacher and a trusted guide.
WHEN AND WHERE DOES THE TRAINING TAKE PLACE?
The next training will take place October 1-4, 2026 in Atlanta, GA.
Following training weekend, participants are required to participate in additional observation, practicum and mentorship experiences.
WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE?
This training is designed to be an intimate, in-depth experience. To better support connection and individualized attention, this training is limited to a maximum of 8 students.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
A 200-hour yoga teacher training certification is ideal but not required. At minimum, you should have some yoga experience prior to the start of this training; you cannot teach what you do not practice yourself. If you do not currently hold a 200-hour yoga teacher certification, the hope is that this training will inspire you to further your yoga studies upon completion.

OBSERVATION & PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE:
Learning does not end when training weekend concludes.
Following the immersive training experience, participants enter a guided integration phase designed to bridge knowledge and practice. Requirements include:
- Observation of 12 prenatal yoga classes through the Cherished Life online platform
- Completion of a reflective review of the required text, Yoga Mama, Yoga Baby
- Supervised teaching practicum through 10 community prenatal yoga classes
- Ongoing mentorship and feedback throughout the teaching process
This extended learning model allows trainees to develop confidence gradually while receiving support, guidance, and real-world teaching experience.
Our goal is not simply to prepare participants to teach prenatal yoga. Our goal is to prepare them to teach well.
WILL I BE CERTIFIED AFTER THIS TRAINING?
Participants who successfully complete all training, observation, self-study, and practicum requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion from Cherished Life Wellness.

WHAT IS THE ADMISSION PROCESS?
You must be a yoga instructor or birth professional, in the process of becoming one, and/or have a strong desire to support pregnant people holistically through yoga. If you meet this requirement, you are eligible to enroll.
1) Complete the application for admission. The application will inquire about your current yoga practice, any previous training, and what you hope to gain from this course.
2) Once accepted, register by selecting one of the payment options.

To increase accessibility, we offer:
- A six-month payment plan option
- One partial Community Access Scholarship per cohort
Scholarship recipients are selected through an application process and are chosen based on demonstrated financial need, alignment with the program, and commitment to serving their community.
Because cohort size is intentionally limited, scholarship funds are limited and not guaranteed.
WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?
Years of experience along with a great deal of planning and preparation are poured into this experience. As such, there are no refunds for this training. Extenuating circumstances will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis where registration may be transferred to a future training date.
